This was our second trip to the Peleponnese, but the first to the main central ‘finger’ in search of rock climbing venues. We spent several day at Leonidio, then followed the winding road over the mountains, to reach the brand new Fokiano to Kyparissi highway.
If Leonidio was noisy and busy then Kyparissi is the opposite – a tranquil oasis ringed by mountains and hemmed in by the sea.
The climbing is great, accessible and varied, with high quality equipment throughout. No polish and no crowds – just how we like it.
